IMG_1145 Karl Nova is a rapper, singer and spoken word poet. He has toured extensively in America, Europe and Africa and is known for his energetic and infectious performances which weave lyrical dexterity with humour and inspirational themes. His style can be said to be socially conscious, inspirational, thought provoking and just plain fun, it engages the listener and takes them on a journey.

Having discovered hip hop music at an early age and memorising rap songs on the radio, he tried his hand at writing poetry and lyrics in his early teens where he found his voice. Shortly after that he discovered he could sing and has sung over the years with many gospel choirs and vocal harmony quartets. Students are always dazzled by his ability to freestyle at will and magically create rap lyrics on the spot. They will be inspired by Karl’s passion for writing and discover their own creative styles.
